Davis Johnstone grew up in northern California outside of Sacramento and migrated to San Diego in 2002. His passion for health and fitness has grown ever since he was in his early teens. Davis’ love for fitness and a healthy lifestyle stem from a passion for organized sports and outdoor activities. Interests in mountaineering, hiking, soccer, surfing, kayaking, wrestling, and snowboarding give him a unique approach to traditional training techniques. Summating Mt. Shasta (14,200 ft) at age 12, traveling to Africa to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,400 ft) at age 15, and trekking 200 miles over 25 days in the Himalayas at high elevation are just a few examples of the activities that fuel his passion for living a health lifestyle.

Davis obtained his bachelors degree in 2006, graduating magna cume laude from San Diego State University with a degree in Business. In 2011 he received his Masters degree from San Diego State University. He holds professional personal training certifications through the National Council of Strength and Fitness and Apex Fitness Group. Davis is also an active member of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team. Fitness is his desire, his passion, his life, and he is dedicated to helping others achieve their goals. He works hard and prides himself on transferring his passion and desire for health and fitness to others. Davis is here to help everyone make those lifestyle changes they need while creating life long relationships. His increasing knowledge in exercise physiology, biomechanics, strength and conditioning, and nutrition allow him to instruct and motivate individuals in a unique and powerful way!

In her senior season as captain she was named All-American. During these college years she began assistant coaching the Varsity Girls Soccer team at University of San Diego High School (USDHS -her alma mater) with her father. Dawn took over as head coach of the Varsity girls soccer team in 1998 after her father’s passing and started teaching PE full time in 2001. In the fall of 2005 USDHS moved and changed its name to Cathedral Catholic, but that didn’t alter Dawn’s winning ways. In 2009 she was named the National Coach of the Year by the NHSACA. In 2014, she was awarded the Double Goal Coach of the Year by the Positive Coaching Alliance. 3 times she was named Coach of the Year by the Union Tribune and 3 times by the San Diego Hall of Champions. Dawn’s passion for fitness inspired her to obtain the NASM certification and begin teaching group classes at Xplicit Fitness and now DavisFit. Health and Fitness is an everyday part of Dawn’s life and she loves to share her expertise with those she trains.
